This will be a fascinating case to follow. Whatever the outcome it shows that fostering a workplace culture that has a negative impact on mental health needs to be challenged robustly.
Time and time again I have coached clients who directly attribute a worsening in their condition to the working environment both through subtle treatment as well as more direct and obvious mistreatment.
There’s a #metoo moment in this. After all, it causes the same sort of long-term injury as an assault, abuse and other types of mistreatment. It’s good to see those affected getting an increasing voice to challenge workplace cultures that are offensive to mental health.
