Aspire to be an Employer of Choice?
A recent study by Deloitte for a government-commissioned analysis of workplace mental health showed that the average cost to organisations of poor mental health (in lost productivity, absence, grievance, complaints and litigation) is £1,400 per employee.
That’s per employee overall, not per employee with a mental health challenge. That’s staggering.
Moreover, the same report showed that there is a 400% return on the cost of employers supporting employees with mental wellness challenges. That’s a 400% return on investment. Also staggering. Who wouldn’t invest their money for that kind of return?
